Vineyard: Brolo del Figaretto
Grapes: Corvina, Rondinella, Molinara, Croatina, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Oseleta, Corvinone, Dindarella, Corvina and Turchetta
Characteristics of the vineyards: Location on hills and foothills with a southerly orientation. Very calcareous soil. Gujot planting system with a density of 4000 vines per hectare
Winemaking and aging
Harvest: Handmade in 5 kg boxes in the third ten days of September
Vinification: The pressed grapes fall by gravity into small 50 hl stainless steel containers. Pumpovers and delestages are carried out during fermentation. The temperature does not go above 28° C. Once fermentation is finished, the wine matures for 3 months in selected wood, 3 months in the bottle before being put on sale.
Tasting Note
Maturation: The peak of maturation is found one year after the harvest
Organoleptic characteristics: Dark ruby color with purple reflections. Cherry, plum, ripe blackberries, an intense nose of violets typical of these grapes. Dry and persistent on the palate
Pairings: Ideal with pasta, red meats, young or medium-aged cheeses
Alcohol: 14% Vol.
